As a hospital physical therapist working on the frontlines of the pandemic this last year, I witnessed firsthand the devastation from COVID. I realize the importance of public health in preparing us to meet the challenges of the future, as well as the need for affordable and accessible high quality health care for all of us.
As a practicing veterinarian and previous owner of a mixed animal practice, I have talked to farmers and ranchers across our state. I understand the importance of the livestock industry to Colorado’s economy and the necessity of farmers and ranchers having a voice in Congress.
As the mother of a teenager, I have seen the destruction of our country’s civic norms these last few years. In our house, we teach her to listen to others, to respect differing opinions, and to value diversity.
Finally, my husband and I own a small agriculture business that depends on sufficient water and a stable climate, two of the most pressing issues facing Colorado today.
